Saturday 1st September

This time 3 weeks I'l be in Christchurch. Its funny how quickly the time flys by. Booked myself into the International hostel on the Esplanade in Cairns for a few nights. Its dead central and you can't argue with the nightly rate but I'll be glad to move on in a few days time. The place is really noisy, even late at night, and my room feels more like a prison cell than a bed room with no natural light. After splashing out on the pricey accommodation at Uluru I was trying to redress the balance a little but I may have gone too far in the direction of cheap and cheerful. Trying to decide what to do while I'm here, think I might leave a visit to the Barrier Reef until I head further south.
